Prolife Foods is a business that prides itself on the strong relationships that it has built with partner businesses over the past 30+ years. As Prolife has grown we have increased the number of partnerships considerably inside and outside New Zealand and the size of the business conducted with our partners has also grown dramatically.

In the sections below we provide details on different partnership opportunities and how best to contact us.

Supply us

Our procurement team sources a wide range of products and materials to be used within the Prolife business throughout its operations. These products are sometimes ingredients that we process further or are finished products. The products and materials are in the following main categories:

  • Nuts and Snacks

  • Dried Fruits (including fruit pastes and fruit flavourings)

  • Seeds and Grains (including Oats and Wheat for processing)

  • Chocolate (including cocoa ingredients) and Confectionery

  • Teas and Coffees

  • Culinary Products

  • Sugars and Honey (particularly Manuka Honey)

  • Packaging

  • Consumables.

We operate in an ethical manner with all of our suppliers, with clear agreements and commitments. We look to visit our major suppliers on a regular basis consistent with our Great Food purpose.

With innovation being such an important aspect of our business we are always looking for new products (and concepts for products) from our existing and new suppliers. If you have something that you think would fit the Prolife business then contact our procurement team by email or phone as follows. We may need you to send a physical sample at your cost.

Manuka Honey

If you are in New Zealand and have Manuka Honey that you wish to sell to us then contact Matt Crosby, our Executive Director, on mcrosby@prolife.co.nz

Manufacture for you

The vast majority of the products that we manufacture are sold directly by Prolife to our customers. However, we do manufacture Private Label products for our major customers and do some contract manufacturing for key partners in New Zealand, Australia and Internationally.

Our capability for contract manufacturing is primarily in the following areas:

  • Muesli and other snack bars [baked, extruded and sheeted]

  • Honey, including Manuka Honey [please see below]

  • Nuts, Snacks and other dry goods

  • Chocolate products

  • Peanut Butter

Most of our manufacturing equipment is designed for long runs rather than niche product runs. There may also be capacity constraints at various times as we invest to keep up with our growth. We have good Innovation and Technical support to assist with new products which would be costed in as part of any agreement.

If you are interested in having a conversation about us manufacturing for you then contact Sean Lambly, GM Group Operations, on email or +64 27 495 4203

Commercial sales or selling our products outside supermarkets in NZ or Australia

The vast majority of Prolife's sales in New Zealand and Australia are through supermarket channels. However, we are increasingly developing products (particularly our Mother Earth On-the-Go range) which have strong sales and growth potential in Route, Oil and other Retail channels. We also increasingly sell commercial (industrial and food service) bulk products leveraging our significant manufacturing scale. For all of these channels we use the same "Great Food with Obsessive Service" purpose to provide high quality products of the right grade with high service levels.

New Zealand - If you are either a potential customer or distributor for our Commercial or Non-supermarket products then contact our Customer Services team on either
(07) 834 3333 or email

Australia - If you are either a potential customer or distributor for our Commercial or Non-supermarket products then contact our Australian Business manager Steve Mooney on either +61 3 936 86900 or email.

Be an international distributor

Prolife operates its own in-market operations in the New Zealand, Australia and Singapore markets. However, we sell our products in a large number of additional countries / markets and expect the number of these markets to grow further over the next few years. Therefore we have developed (and continue to develop) strong partnerships with distributors who are experts in their market. These partnerships may involve exclusive arrangements for a market - but we may also have more than one distributor in a market because of the geography / complexity, and to cover different channels to market or for our different products / brands.

We operate in an ethical manner with all of our distributors, with clear agreements and commitments. We look to visit our major distributors on a regular basis consistent with our Obsessive Service purpose.

With international growth being such an important aspect of our business we are always looking for new opportunites from our existing and new distributors. If you see an opportunity that you think would fit the Prolife business then contact our International team by email or +64 7 834 3333 as follows.
